Classes - Casting Session Class

Casting Session Class

This is the class where we put it all to the test. Starting with receiving your sides by email the day before class, signing in, being called one by one into the room, reading sometimes for me, sometimes for a guest reader – everything happening as it would in the real world. After everyone has read, we reconvene as a class and review the tape together to see how all of the training is holding up under the heightened pressure of “the audition.”

Some of the questions we will be answering:

• Are you a compelling presence in every moment of your audition?
• Is your connection to the reader strong and meaningful?
• Are you taking direction and adjusting with ease and confidence?
• Did you look like you belonged in the room?
• Were you able to let go and have fun in the room?

"Craig’s insight into the unique necessities of the audition process is phenomenal. His emphasis on the connection an actor must establish in order to get the job is brilliant and he has created a practical and fun technique to get actors out of their heads so connection is effortless. He is also a big-hearted man and an huge fan of his students."

Tara Tomicevic

Classes are limited to 9 students to insure that each students individual needs and concerns are addressed and that everyone gets to work (a lot!) every week.
